A bilingual teaching artist, actor, playwright and director, Olivia graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and combines all of these skills to create a well-rounded approach to teaching.

For over 12 years her work as a teaching artist has revolved around theatre arts and playwriting, teaching residencies throughout San Diego county, in detention facilities, group homes for foster youth and at SDSU. In addition, as a Program Manager for education organizations like Playwrights Project (San Diego) and Segerstrom Center for the Arts (Costa Mesa), Olivia understands the importance of arts in the classroom and creating sustainable programs for students of all ages.

Olivia is a member of Native Voices at the Autry Artist Ensemble in Los Angeles where she helped launch and direct the ensemble play Stories from the Indian Boarding School. In 2017, she was the proud recipient of Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s most prestigious award- The Phil Killian Directing Fellowship, where she assisted Artist Director, Bill Rauch.
